12—Project Roger, Installation

Project Roger was created to transform digital presence into physical presence within the atrium of the Paul Rand Center for Graphic Design at the Yale University School of Art. Balloons are mapped to the digital presence of students within the graphic design program located on the second floor. The device is activated and glows based on status information from students' iChat or AIM accounts.

Roger is most visible at night, a time when the studio is diminished in physical activity and human presence.
